Dan Murray is a sensational Jazz vocalist local to the musically rich DMV area. Humbly beginning his career busking on the streets of Old Town Alexandria in late 2023, he quickly gained popularity on social media, launching him into the world of Jazz around the world.

He hails from a musically rich heritage, his grandfather, RJ Murray, was an opera singer/director, his grandmother, Cynthia Adamson Murray, was a master pianist, and father, David Murray, is a lifelong drummer and a 26 year retired Master Sergeant of the President’s Own U.S Marine Band; all of whom, graduated from the renowned Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY.

Dan has worked with hundreds of professional Jazz artists in the area, proving his ability to provide a fulfilling and fun experience for listeners at any venue, whether it be the prestigious Omni Shoreham Hotel, or the streets and parks of Old Town.

Not only a keeper of the Great American Songbook, Dan has written original songs as well. He debuted his first original: “A Very Pretty Spring” in March of 2025. He has been featured on local news stations ABC7, performing live on ABC7’s “Good Morning Washington” and “Living Local DMV”.
